Five major advantages of AD-SIGNUM solutions

PROBE-2 is a sensor developed exclusively for AD-SIGNUM's service, discover here its five major assets:

Use

Easy to deploy : AD-SIGNUM's monitoring system has been designed to make it easier for bridge managers, dam owners and public works operators. The system is pre-configured. It can be installed very quickly with two screws and can be started up in 5 seconds at the touch of a button. The same day, the system starts to watch over the structure. Thanks to its design (colour, shape and size) the system is discreet and not very intrusive.

Cost

Minimum cost : After hard work in research and development, AD-SIGNUM has implemented a system based on asynchronous acquisition and remote processing of the synthetic and reduced data. This approach makes it possible to do without the acquisition system and synchronization cables. Moreover, unlike the architecture of traditional systems where the data is continuously transmitted via cables (ADSL line), this system uses Iot type communication means to transfer the data, thus presenting a very low energy consumption (integrated battery + A4 size solar panel) without any external power supply or wire connection.

Monitoring

Continuous monitoring As soon as it is installed and switched on, the PROBE-2 sensor stays awake 24 hours a day and monitors the structure. The data is transmitted to the cloud for processing, and remains accessible at all times via a dedicated interface. Exclusive to AD-SIGNUM: This tool also offers health monitoring of the measuring tool!

Time

AReal time alert : Based on self-vibration (ambient noise, micro-seismic noise) and without stopping operation, PROBE-2 checks the health status of a building. It does not require external intervention and it launches alerts (SMS/email) if the threshold is exceeded.

Risks?

Anticipation of risk : Natural frequencies (an indicator that is very sensitive to the occurrence of anomalies) are used for monitoring structures such as bridges, buildings or dams. The principle is based on the fact that damage induces a disturbance in the overall behaviour of the structure. This is reflected in a variation in stiffness and therefore in natural frequencies. Continuous monitoring of these frequencies is therefore a means of detecting the anomaly in an early state. Thus, providing an objective aid to the decision to carry out a detailed inspection of the structure.
